Addie
I love having Addie as a daughter. She is such a sweet and funny little girl. I am constantly reminding myself that she is only two and a half for two reasons. The first is that she is unusually tall for her age, only a half head behind her big brother, and the second is that she is always trying to keep up with him which makes her seem so much older. She absolutely adores him and the two of them have such a special relationship. While he is very rule oriented (he will stay in his bed at bedtime), Addie is known to try to bend the rules (she comes out for all kinds of reasons). She self entertains really well and will play in her room for long periods of time by herself. Mostly she likes to play "babies" where she will read to her babies, feed them, put them to bed, and recently she has started to pretend that she is carrying her baby in a B-John, or Bjorn (where Carson currently spends much of his time). Her favorite baby is this raggedy old dirty doll that Addie has affectionately named her "happy baby" and she has another baby named Sally. Addie takes her happy baby and her purple lovie with her everywhere. Addie has also taken a great interest in puzzles lately and she is pretty good at them. She has a lot of patience and long attention span and will work for long periods of time putting together puzzles. We also do a gymnastics class together with Coach Kenny, whom Addie loves to show off for. She is an interesting kid in that she will stay real close to me for tasks she is unsure of, but when she has the confidence, I am kicked to the curb! Caden on the other hand, always likes me close and will choose to hold my hand beyond the parking lot. Not Addie. She lets go as soon as her first step hits the sidewalk and then turns and tells me, "I don't need to hold your hand anymore mom". She is definitely the more adventuresome of the two. She still LOVES milk and would live on a diet of milk alone if you would let her. She is such an easy going, sweet mama's girl right now and I love all the time I get to spend with her!

And I loved my three days playing with both Caden and Addie. They are delightful!
What a gorgeous picture of your big girl! (And I love that she named her doll happy baby- so funny.)
