The kids thoroughly enjoy getting into my swim bag...
Fur coats and living room potty training...hilarious! Addie potty trained really quickly right after she turned 2. She loved her little pink potty (thanks Julianna!) and after a few rough days of spending WAY too much time in our teeny tiny bathroom, I figured out that the best way to train her was to put her potty in front of Dora and let her have at it! It also helps that she is highly motivated by m&m's and her brother quickly learned that if she earned her treat, he would as well so he was my potty training assistant!
Addie loves her babies and she loves stories. I will often hear her in bed "reading" stories to her babies or singing songs to them. I sing, "Jesus Loves Me" and "You are My Sunshine" to the kids before bed each night and I will often hear Addie singing those songs to her babies in the morning. This girl is still a sleeper! She will often sleep until 9 or 10 in the morning if I let her.
Jon assured me before we got married that we would never have a girl. There are only boys, boys, boys on Jon's side of the family and he was absolutely sure we would never have a girl. Then I got pregnant with our second and he had this intuition that we were having a girl. We decided to be surprised with the gender of our second baby so when Addie came out, Jon exclaimed, with tears, that we had a girl! Needless to say, we both feel so blessed to have sweet Addie as our daughter.
