Baptism
In the Spring of 2010 I was baptized by my pastor, Zach Vestnys from Calvary Chapel Petaluma. This was such a special evening for me. I went to church with my dad as a child and on and off through college and after. Through those years, I always felt a tugging of my heart back towards church and more than just church, a pull towards the Lord. There have been lots of times in my life when I have ignored that pull, in fact, ran from it. I look back and am humbled and amazed at my life. Amazed and so thankful that I married my husband, blessed by my children and family life, and blessed by the people God has put in my life. Particularly, I am so thankful for Calvary Chapel Petaluma, for my pastor there, his wisdom and compassion for the Lord's word and the women's ministry that so much shaped me as a wife and mother during my time there. I was baptized as a baby but really felt the desire to commit to Christ as an adult, by my own choice and my heart truly feels renewed.

This is so cool, Care, and how great that your family could be there to witness such a sacred event. I have watched you on this journey and am so happy that you have come full circle in your decision to renew your Faith. BTW- thank you for the info on MOPS, I am looking into it. I think it was divine intervention that this week I saw a bumper sticker and then you told me about it as well. I'm gonna investigate more. Love ya.
