Addison is almost 11 months now and is such a doll. Her personality emerges more and more every day and she continues to be such an easy going, fun loving baby girl. At her 9 month doctor's appointment she weighed in at 20 pounds. Though she is now wearing 18 month clothes, the doctor indicated he would like to see her to continue to gain more weight to keep up with her height! Addie's first tooth just started to come through on the top and there are no bounds to the food she will eat. She has decided that baby food is no longer for her and will give me the "all done" sign when I bring the spoon hear her. She prefers to feed herself and is fond of muffins, pasta, deli meats, cheese, avocado, veggies, and graham crackers are her latest favorite. She still loves to nurse and just started to sign for "milk".
Addison's favorite activity is doing anything that her brother does. She follows him around the house and wants to be a part of whatever he is doing. She plays at the train table, and the other day I heard her making airplane noises and turned around, and sure enough, she was flying one of his toy airplanes with her hands. When Caden is sitting on the couch, Addie loves to pull herself up and just stare at him, much to his dismay! One of Caden's favorite phrases has become, "Get Addie!" which means "move her away from me". Addison absolutely loves the bath and would stay in there all night if I let her. She doesn't even mind when her brother splashes and creates waves that soak her. One last favorite past times of Addie's is the trampoline. One day, we looked over, and Addie had crawled over to the trampoline, pulled herself up, and was jumping!
She also loves stories, and unlike Caden at this age, will sit on your lap and listen to several books in a row. She especially likes the ones where she can feel the pages or pull the flaps. Addie also happily plays in her room by herself (also very unlike Caden). Some days, I have to go looking for her, and she will be sitting in her room playing with her toys or flipping through her books. Jon says if we had her first, we would have six kids by now :)
