Thanksgiving 2008

This year we traveled to San Luis Obispo to spend Thanksgiving with our good friends the Wilson family. The kids did fabulous in the car, and thoroughly enjoyed playing with Wesley age 5 and Quinn age 3. Liz is a great friend from college and we ran an 8 mile Turkey "trot" (ya right!) on a gorgeous Thanksgiving morning. The run took us through the vineyards on the outskirts of SLO, through rolling hills and really pretty countryside. Though my legs are still sore three days later, it was well worth it and so typical of Liz to push me to do something just outside my comfort zone! Later that day we took the kids to the sand dunes where they had a blast climbing up and rolling down. The next day we were off to feed the ducks at duck pond, enjoyed some sushi (as much as you can with 4 kids in tow!) in SLO and a nice evening in their hot tub. Jon and I both really love the area and could see us raising a family there some day if that were meant to be. The kids had a blast playing trains, riding bikes outside, playing in the sand box, and of course, mowing the lawn (the mower seriously comes with us everywhere)!

It looks like you guys had a great trip! I love SLO. We will have to meet up sometime when we are in Morro Bay.
