This year we went creative (aka cheap) for Halloween costumes. Caden was a train conductor, which worked perfectly because he loves trains, and we put together his costume from items we had at home. Addison was a ballerina and she sure looked cute in her little pink sparkled tutu! Caden had a great time carving pumpkins and trick or treating this year.
The "W" question has finally struck our household! Caden has begun to ask "why" to almost everything. Jon calls this and encouraging sign of appropriate development, I call it, annoying! Some of the time its cute, like if I sigh, Caden will ask me why I just sighed. Though by the 100th "why?" of the day, I am done!
Addie has become quite the mama's girl. She is right at the age where the separation anxiety sets in. Lately, she becomes fussy and cries when separated from me, even to go to people that she knows well. Though it seems as though this will be a much shorter phase for her than it was for Caden as she is a little more easy going than he was at this age. She still has no teeth but does quite well gumming things such as biting biscuits, little pieces of pumpkin muffin, and mashed banana.
Daylight Savings time in winter is not a favorite in our household with our very active toddler. After helping daddy mow and weedwack the yard and playing with tractors in his crib instead of napping during naptime, around 5:30 tonight Caden asked if we could go on a family outing to the park. It was pitch dark outside much to all of our dismay. It seems as though there will be many evening trips to the pet store, Trader Joes, etc. this winter!
