Tarantula time
Our local library does a story time that the kids and I attend every Tuesday morning. Usually story time involves stories from Miss Cathy, songs like, "I'm a Little Tea Pot" ,"The Hokey Pokey" and "Row Row Row Your Boat". After story time there is usually a craft that the kids are able to put together. Usually the craft involves glue, glitter, scissors, lots of small pieces, so I am happy to do the craft at the library! For story time last week, the "Bug Guy" came to the library with a collection of critters. When I saw him walk in, I thought he looked familiar and sure enough, he is our exterminator (which we soon discovered was a necessity when you live in the woods)! He brought very large hissing cockroaches which the kids were able to hold and then race on a wood platform and he also brought a large tarantula. While the parents all took a few steps back, the kids raced to the front to get in line to hold this hairy beast, and even Addie girl walked right up and took a turn!
