We have really made the most of our time this summer and are fortunate to live in a very family friendly area. Jon had a short time off, which was wonderful for all of us, especially me! We took the kids to the Oakland Zoo where Caden enjoyed combing the goats, watching monkeys swing from the trees, and he got to ride the train, his favorite past time these days! One day we took the kids to the Discovery Museum, a children's museum at the base of the Golden Gate bridge where they have lots of interactive indoor and outdoor activities for kids. Caden's favorites are the tractor ramp, and the river with the fish which always makes for a soaked little boy! We also took a day trip to the Nut Tree where they have lots of little rides, including, yes a train ride, and also a carousel, an airplane ride, which is another all time favorite. Though Addison is a bit young to enjoy the rides, she has a blast watching her big brother, in between her own naps of course...
