Sleeping kids
Is there anything better than a sleeping baby?! Addie pretty much sleeps anywhere when she is tired enough. She and Carson are both very attached to their "special lovies"!
Lake Tahoe Wedding Fun
In June we went to Lake Tahoe for Auntie Sarah's wedding. Addie was over the moon with the honor of being a flower girl in the wedding. The kids loved swimming in the hotel pool, building sand castles on the lake shore, and lots of time with their beloved Annie.

Addie's trip to the hair salon
My sweet girl. It's funny how on the one hand she can be such a girly girl. She loves to dress up, loves to have her nails painted, enjoys picking out her clothes and being a mommy to her babies, she can also hang with her big brother in almost everything he does. Addie accompanied me to my hair salon for her first real salon haircut. She felt like such a big girl and I look forward to many more salon dates with my girl!
Sweet baby Carson
This sweet little boy is a Pistol! He has affectionately been named ,"the troublemaker" around our house and the kids and I joke around that he may not get any presents this year as he is most definitely on the "naughty list". First of all, the kid has absolutely NO interest in toys. With the exception of most any ball, and his favorite shape sorter, he would much rather play with the dishwasher, the cleaning supplies, the doggie door, the laundry bleach, or pretty much any other household item he shouldn't be into. Just last week, I was in the shower and Caden came running in to tell me Carson had escaped the house. He crawled through the doggie door, walked the entire length of our deck and was running around like a wild man in his pajamas in the backyard (it was 35 degrees outside)! A few days later, while I was frantically packing us all for an out of town trip (and largely ignoring my children) I found Carson playing in the laundry room in a big pile of clorox detergent.
All that being said, he is just so darn vibrant and cute and has such a large personality. His language has exploded it the past few weeks and he now says, "backpack" when we get in the car to go pick up Caden from school, he says "walk" most every time I buckle him in his car seat or put him in a cart as he would like his freedom. The cutest of all is that he says, "a ki" for okay. Apparently I say "okay" often and Carson has picked up on it. He calls airplanes "do dooos", says all done, signs and says more when we are playing a game he likes. He can say "cookie" and "pop pop" for lollipop.
Carson is all boy. He would stay outside and play in the dirt all day if I let him. He's either a lot of work or I have already forgotten how much work a 16 month old is! He makes me smile every day and though he is a lot of work I feel blessed to be his mom.
Easter 2010
Happy Easter!
This year for Easter, we joined our friends the McIlroy family for church and then a nice Easter brunch and egg hunt. The kids had fun searching the property for all kinds of treasures. The Easter Bunny brought Addie some new dress up accessories and her favorite Pinkalicious book and Caden, of course, got some new Transformers.
