Saturday Soccer!

Caden played his first season of soccer this year. He really enjoyed running around which is pretty much all 5 year old soccer involves. The ironic thing is that we spent 5 years teaching Caden to share and not take from others so naturally he applied that to soccer and never wanted to actually go after the ball so he did a lot of running along side the ball. It was actually enjoyable to watch the kids playing just to have fun with no concern for winning or losing...and they still eat oranges at halftime!

Student of the Month

Caden was honored with the award of Student of the Month in September. There was an all school assembly and the sweetest part of the whole thing was when he walked in the door and saw me and asked his teacher if he could go give me a hug. I am going to treasure these moments while they last!

Tiny Tots and Jasmine aka "Jazzy"

With the addition of our third child, and the addition of two carpools this fall, we took the plunge and got a mini-van who has affectionally been named "Jasmine or Jazzy".

Addie's 1st day at her pre-school, Tiny Tots. Unlike Caden who cried at pre-school drop off for 3 months, Addie walked right in and owned the place!

First Day of Kindergarten

How is my baby boy 5 years old and in Kindergarten already??! I know how incredibly cliche it is to say that time flies with kids, but it has really gone at warp speed. It feels like a few days ago I brought my sweet chubby boy home from the hospital and now he is leaving the nest and off to Kindergarten. He will be in Mrs. Taylor's class at Soulsbyville School and he already feels like the big man on campus!

New Melones Lake

Our friends the McIlroy's invited us out on their boat a few times this summer. Jon and I dream of being a "boating family" some day. Our kids adore Jackson (12) and Addie (8). Jackson gave Caden some fishing tips, both kids got to drive the boat, and this mama enjoyed soaking up the sun!

Carlsbad!

Summer 2011 we took a fun family trip to San Diego for a week. We rented a wonderful house in Carlsbad that was walking distance to the beach. We shared the week with Papa Joe, Grandma Lou, Annie, and Uncle Brian and Uncle Ryan. We took daily walks to the beach, built lots of sandcastles, and ventured out to Legoland for some theme park fun too! Jon and I even got to sneak away for two sushi date nights..woohooo!
